So how to find a spouse? 🙈

Sooo ... I'm that girl. A bit ashamed to even do this post, but here we go:

My ex-girlfriend and I broke up recently after two years of being in a relationship because I wanted marriage and a long-term relationship/commitment and she didn't. I didn't have the greatest luck in the past dating and finding romantic partners. Things are way better now since I came out (I'm a trans woman and mostly attracted to men and masc people, but not exclusively) and I have a lot of people now that find me attractive, but I don't seem to find people who are looking for a serious and committed love relationship, let alone marriage and potentially children. It doesn't help that most men I get in touch with are either freaked out by me being trans or overly fixated on that and not really interested in my interests, hopes and dreams (probably not just a problem in Germany and maybe not even just a problem for trans women, but still disheartening).

Thank you for even reading this far and listening to my whining... 💜

So... how would you go about asking for divine support with this? Who would you petition? Are there relationships and aspects to this I'm not seeing?

What I have tried so far: I did pray to Aphrodite about it on and off over the last decades (I'm in my late 30s), but never noticed a tangible change (all of this pre-transition, though). I used to also ask Dionysos for support and he certainly helped get me to be more outgoing, but haven't asked him specifically to help me find a spouse yet. I don't think I ever prayed to any other of the Greek gods or heroes about this subject. 🤔

I guess I should talk to Hera? Or are there other or additional deities, heroes, etc you would recommend? I know the Gods decide on what they give and which prayers to answer. And I'm just tired of this being such a long standing issue and worried I'm getting too old to find anyone.

Food offerings - if, how and when to eat - also: Happy Thargelia! 🌱

Khairete and happy Thargelia! 🌱

This is my "first fruit" offering with local fruits and honey and a few herbs, flowers and sprouts for my balcony. And a bit of bread, because Demeter wanted some, I guess.

And with that: I keep being confused about what offerings can be eaten when, because sources seem to say two different things. Offerings to uranian deities can be shared, but offerings to chthonian deities have to be given whole and never eaten. But: Does "sharing" mean a) giving a piece of cake to the gods and eating the rest of the cake but *not* the offered part? Or b) eat the offerings if they still look good after... the ritual? A few hours? A day?

Please let me know how you handle this and what is "correct". Right now most offerings end up in my compost bin just to be safe.
