Volunteering or Ausbildung
I recently passed my B2 exam and also took the C1 test (still waiting for the results), and now I’m trying to decide my future plans in Germany. My main goal is to do an Ausbildung later, but before that I’ve been thinking seriously about volunteering in Germany.
I honestly feel like it could be a good step for me because I really want more real-life experience, improve my German, and grow as a person. I also have different skills in tech, design, and other fields, so I feel motivated to contribute and not just “stay there doing nothing”.
But as an Ausländer, I’m wondering if this is actually a smart plan or if I’m being too optimistic. Does the embassy usually accept this kind of path if I can financially support myself and bring enough money with me?
And after volunteering, would it realistically help me find an Ausbildung opportunity later?
I’d really appreciate honest advice from people who already went through something similar. Germany has honestly become a dream for me, and I’m trying to build my future step by step without making the wrong decision.
