Recently I got my Telc B1 result & now I am going for Fachkraft lager logistics ausbildung.

But it will take around 4 to 5 months for my contract and city registration. Is there anyone who is also in Ausbildung Programm or wants to do Ausbildung Programm in Fachkraft lager logistics or Nursing.

Why I am telling all this bcz I am only one who is giving interview for Ausbildung and I have nobody to go Germany for ausbildung with me. It feels sometimes lonely so if any have a interest to do Ausbildung in Germany DM me. If not that's fine I gotta go alone.

Can work experience help with Anerkennung of a foreign vocational diploma?

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here has experience with Anerkennung and can help me understand how it works.
I finished a 4-year vocational high school for gastronomy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The closest equivalent in Germany would probably be Gastgewerbe und Tourismus. when I first came to Germany, someone told me that I would need one more year (either working or attending school) for my qualification to be officially recognized. Instead, I decided to start working full-time since I’m a Croatian (EU) citizen and didn’t need a visa.
I’ve now been working in Germany for 3 years and 3 months, and I speak German fluently. I’m considering applying for the recognition of my Bosnian diploma and I’m hoping that, together with my work experience, it could be recognized as a completed vocational qualification (Vollausbildung).
My goal is to use that qualification to study a related subject at a university later on.
Has anyone here gone through the Anerkennung process with a foreign vocational diploma and several years of work experience? Was your qualification recognized as a completed vocational training, or was it considered something more like a Mittlere Reife, Fachabitur, or something else?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks in advance!

Electrician Diploma Holder Interested in Ausbildung – Need Guidance

I'm from India and I'm interested in doing an Ausbildung in Germany. I have a diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electrician and would prefer an electrician-related Ausbildung, but I'm open to other fields as well.

I'm currently learning German and wanted to ask:

How do I apply for an Ausbildung from India?

Which websites are the best for finding companies offering Ausbildungs?

Is it difficult for someone from India to get selected?

Does having an electrician diploma give me any advantage?

Any tips or things I should know before applying?

I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences from people who have gone through the process.

I am 20 years old, looking to learn a new trade/skill this summer after leaving a dead-end job. Need advice

I am 20 years old, living in Algeria. I am currently pursuing an Advanced Technical Certificate (Technicien Supérieur) in the installation and maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Alongside my technical studies, I am also learning German and am currently at the A1 level.
Up until recently, I was working at a local supermarket from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM for a very low wage (around 1400 DZD per day). I decided to quit because I felt it was a complete waste of time—I wasn't learning any real skills or a craft that could benefit my future career.
Now that it's summer, I have a lot of free time, which will transition into semi-free time once my classes resume. I want to fully dedicate this time to learning a new craft, a hands-on trade, or a high-value skill. I am highly motivated to master something practical.
I am looking for your advice:
Given my background in HVAC and my basic German skills, what are the best complementary skills or trades I should focus on learning right now? Should I dive deeper into specific technical fields (like electronics repair), or focus heavily on my language skills for future opportunities abroad?

Am I too old (36 next year) to get a Koch Ausbildung in Germany? Looking for honest advice.

Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate some honest advice from people who have experience with Ausbildung in Germany, especially in the hospitality or restaurant industry.

I am currently 35 years old and will turn 36 next September. My goal is to apply for a Koch (Chef) Ausbildung in Germany in 2027.

Here is a little about my background:

  • I have a Diploma in Hotel Management from  Malaysia (completed in 2016).
  • During my studies, I completed internships in housekeeping at a Hilton hotel and in a restaurant.
  • Since graduating, I have worked in different hospitality jobs.
  • I am currently living and working in Qatar at an Iranian restaurant. My main role is cashier, but I also help in the kitchen whenever needed, including food preparation and assisting the chefs during busy hours.
  • I am currently learning German and my goal is to reach at least B1, or even B2, before applying.

Recently, someone living in Germany told me that I am already too old for an Ausbildung. This made me worried and confused because I have also read on official German websites that there is no legal age limit for an Ausbildung.

I understand that employers may prefer younger applicants, but I would like to know the reality from people who have experience.

My questions are:

  1. Do I still have a realistic chance of getting a Koch Ausbildung at the age of 36?
  2. Would my diploma in hotel management and my work experience in restaurants be considered an advantage?
  3. What can I do over the next year to improve my chances?
  4. Has anyone here, or someone you know, started an Ausbildung in their mid-30s or later?

I know it may be more difficult than for someone who is 20 years old, but I am willing to work hard, improve my German, and apply to many employers across Germany.

I would really appreciate honest advice and real experiences rather than assumptions.

Thank you very much for your time!

Career shift from IT to Nursing via Ausbildung at 27. Will my background hurt my chances?

Hallo,

Im 27M from the Philippines with over 6+ years of experience working in IT (Multimedia side). While Ive been fortunate to build a stable career, Ive recently realized that I dont feel fulfilled by the work Im doing.

To be honest, IT wasnt my first choice of career. I pursued it because it was a practical decision at the time, and although Ive gained valuable experience and skills, Ive never really enjoyed working in the field. Over the past few months, Ive been seriously thinking about making a career change.

Ive always wanted to become a nurse, but I was discouraged from pursuing it because we already have several nurses in our family. At the time, I was encouraged to choose a different career path instead (I was interested in the multimedia side of it). Even so, my interest in healthcare never really went away. Its something thats stayed with me over the years, and now that Im reflecting on what I want for my future, I find myself wanting to pursue that long standing interest.

After doing some research, Ive become interested in pursuing nursing through the Ausbildung program. Compared to going back to school for a 4 year BSN degree in the Philippines, the fully funded vocational training seems like a much more financially realistic path for me.

My main concern is whether my background will affect my chances of getting accepted.

Since my work experience is entirely in IT:

  • Would employers see me as overqualified because of my years of professional experience?
  • Or would they see me as an unsuitable candidate because I have no healthcare-related background?
  • Has anyone here successfully transitioned from tech (or another unrelated field) into healthcare through Ausbildung?
  • If so, what made your application stand out despite the career change?

Im aware that changing careers at this stage wont be easy, and Im prepared to start from the beginning if it means working in a field that feels more meaningful to me. Im currently researching the language requirements, application process, and what I can do to improve my chances.

Id really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar career shift or has experience with the Ausbildung process. Any advice, insights, or reality checks are welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Why is nobody applying for the most in-demand jobs?

I have gone through this community and others online, and what I have noticed is everyone trying to get into IT, Electrical and the other highly competitive Ausbildungs.
Germany already has enough IT professionals and a lot of them with masters and no job.
Why is nobody targeting the sector with the most critical shortage which is construction?

Ausbildung acceptance

Hey dears,

I got two acceptances from a hospital and a retirement home for the Pflege Ausbildung.

The first one starts from August and the second one starts from October.

I however want to go for the second one beginning in October.

I just want to know, if I can start the first Ausbildung from August until October and then go for the second one, what I actually want.

I want to do this, just to keep myself busy and avoid wasting my time.

I would be happy to have your suggestions.

Yours

it's impossible to make an Ausbildung?

It's been here for a while and all of I see its Deutschland people saying "don't make an Ausbildung, you don't gonna make money and even survive. The people is gonna have bad attitudes with you" and stuff like that. So, what's the point of trying? I don't understand. There's people around here who have been doing an Ausbildung right now from other point of the world and everything it's going be okay?

Is applying for an Ausbildung at 30 as a non-EU career changer still realistic?

I'm curious about the success rate for someone applying for an Ausbildung around the age of 30 after completing a bachelor's degree and having 3+ years of work experience.

I've read that some employers can be hesitant because they assume non-EU applicants are mainly trying to get into the EU or eventually get a passport. That's honestly not my reason.

My goal is to gain proper hands-on training while studying in a field that genuinely needs skilled workers, without the financial burden of paying for everything myself. I'm also looking to leave the corporate world and move into archives or as an information specialist.

For those who've gone through the process or know people who have, would you still recommend applying in this situation? Do employers really see career changers in their 30s negatively, or is having a clear reason for switching enough? I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences or advice.

Title: Ausbildung as Fachinformatiker without Abitur

Hi all,

I'm Tunisian, German B2 certified, currently self-teaching cloud/Linux/cybersecurity. I finished up to 3rd year of high school but never took the Baccalauréat.

I'm wondering: is it realistic to get into a Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration Ausbildung without a completed secondary diploma (Abitur/Mittlere Reife equivalent), as a non-EU applicant?

Have any of you done this, or know someone who has? Did companies actually require the diploma before signing a contract?

Thanks in advance!

Why do people choose the wrong Ausbildung these days?

That probably sounds like clickbait at first.

But that’s not the intention at all.

Basically, I went through the exact same thing myself back then, and I want to try to help anyone currently in that position.

Its mostly like this I think: You chose a Ausbildung because you felt you sort of *had* to, or because you didn't know what else to do—or perhaps you ended up at a company that looked amazing from the outside but turned out to be total rubbish. Or maybe you were influenced by others.

If you have a story to share and would like to tell me about it, please feel free to get in touch.

Ausbildung Chances (Brewing Sector)

Hey everyone,

I’m pivoting my career path in Germany and would love an honest assessment of my chances from HR professionals or engineers here.

My Background:

  • I am a foreign student living in Germany.
  • I am completing now the 4 semester of a Bachelor of Engineering (Brewing / Beverage Technology) in HSWT Freising in German.
  • Before university, I spent 4 years working full-time as Brewers Assistant, in my family's production brewery back home, with BrauKon specialzed brewing equipment.I know the machinery, piping layouts, and technical processes inside out.
  • Language: My German is strong, I have B2 certificate, which i did 3 years ago for the Uni. I speak very well and feel completely confident communicating in a professional, technical environment (and I'm always open to refining it further).

The Situation: University modules are highly abstract for me , and I’ve realized a purely academic path isn't for me. To protect my academic record and avoid a forced expulsion (Zwangsexmatrikulation), I want to quit cleanly on my own terms. I excel far more in practical, hands-on engineering. So I want to apply for an Ausbildung as a Technischer Produktdesigner starting in September 2027, specifically in plant engineering/brewery manufacturing (target companies are specialized firms like Krones, Steinecker, or BrauKon).

My Question: Given that I bring 4 years of direct industry experience + 2 years of German engineering university foundations + confident professional German, what are my realistic chances? Will large technical firms value this massive practical head-start, or do they still default to native speakers with zero experience?

Thanks for reading!!

Is Ausbildung worth it?

I completed my bachelors in math and computer science in '20. Got a pass. The minimum grade. I haven't had a real job related to my degree. Though I have been studying more and more and keeping up with AI trends. Also, I have been driving through ride-hailing apps to sutsain myself. But it has not been sustainable lately. So I was thinking about a journey to the unknown. So I was wondering if I should go as a nurse, bus driver or can I get an entry to a public university for masters considering my grades at degree level. Maybe I should just start a new since my high school grades were good. Perhaps, stay in my home country and build my nation.

Thank y'all for your responses. I am open to any clarification and questions. Thanks.
P.S Been self-studying deutsch and think I'm on A2/B1.
