Is inazuma the least relevant nation in the game?
After the latest Luna 9 & 10 archon quest where we go back to sumeru a question has appeared at the back of my mind on how relevant a nation/region is to the overall story of genshin impact and every nation have something to offer in the future in terms of storytelling except inazuma at least for now imo
Inazuma characters: pretty much irrelevant and only reduced to cameos like itto and yoimiya in events or anecdotes. The talk about the upcoming war from yae and Raiden from the music event probably will happen in the future but aside from that no other character is that important to potential future conflict as of rn.
Inazuma as a region: don't hold as much importance overall to something that could happen to it since it's an island and overall isolated from the landmass from the other regions unless something external tries to invade it like the abyss or the fatui trying to take over or gain influence in the region which is pretty much not happening anymore after Signora got slained and the doctor gone to do experiments in inazuma.
Inazuma lore: Correct me if I'm wrong since it's been awhile but nothing suggesting any potential threat or future prophecy where inazuma as nation and it's characters needs to be prepared and get involved aside from the mention of an upcoming war from ei. The only lore related thing that could get any spotlight on inazuma is kokomi and her relation with the dragons potentially but we already know the hydro dragon sovereign is neuvillete.
Other nations being more relevant:
Sumeru: nahida being the protector of irminsul which has been replaced by aaru which is more vulnerable since aaru is out in the open and potentially be attacked in the future and the gods that is from sumeru with king deshret and the 3 pillars being released will keep sumeru relevant.
Mondstadt: venti and his connections with istaroth and time shenanigans will keep it relevant and the knights favonius Being involved in nod-krai and varka will keep them relevant against the abyss and the hexenzirkel witches having tea parties and it's pact with mondstadt keeps the nation relevant as well.
Liyue: Zhongli and the secret contract with also liyue having lantern rite every year which will bring new characters and lore so liyue will always be relevant
Fontaine: characters like neuvillete and the upcoming Sandrone with the narzissenkreuz world quest connection brought back in nod-krai have made Fontaine relevant again and ofc arlechinno being a harbinger from Fontaine also representing it.
Natlan: Still recent and with mavuika also appearing in the recent Luna archon quest and also being a powerhouse means if something does happen in teyvat or natlan mavuika and the cast will be relevant and battle ready and the whole thing of the pyro gnosis disappearing now begs a question on where it is now and the lore regarding the dragons and night kingdom keeps natlan relevant.
Nod-krai: just recently finished but will be relevant cause of the characters that came from it
Snezhnaya: will be very relevant in the future With the tsaritza and gnosis etc
Khan'enriah: always in the background and talk about what happened 500 years ago so it will always be relevant with the khan'enriah's and the abyss order
Upcoming future content: as we move towards snezhnaya and after that being potentially khan'enriah there's no any signs of inazuma being back in the overall bigger picture again unless something happens to everything in teyvat.
Tldr: nothing from the characters, region and lore suggest that inazuma will be relevant again in the story of genshin impact.
