Glaucoma vs Cornea vs Med Retina: Best fellowship for specifically Private practice/Solo Practice?
I don't think I could give up doing cataract surgery and I really enjoy the surgery, the tech, and the various lenses. I want to work in private practice in the future and so doing premium lenses to me is important because it'll make the practice more sustainable (unfortunately that's just how it is these days). I also hope to do some charitable work in the future by offering cataract surgery. All this to say, this is why I don't want to do surgical retina or oculoplastics or neuro or peds.
Additionally, I'm not sure if I want to dabble into refractive surgery, especially given its extremely high overhead costs. This is why I'm not leaning towards anterior segment fellowships or private practice cat-refractive fellowships.
I do like the idea of being a specialist plus providing cataract surgery in addition.
