Got the S1 a week ago when it went on sale for $200 USD. I replaced my HomeBase 3 with it, and so far, it seems to be a slightly worse experience now. Maybe it was because I migrated my cameras over to the S1 instead of removing them and then readding them, but the live video feed seems to be a lot more laggy and stuttering more than before. I feel like the S1 tries even harder than the HB3 to connect to the cameras itself instead of sticking to my WiFi APs using multi-bridge, which makes the connection quality worse. Today, I just noticed this new firmware update, and the release notes are redacted, which is weird. Not sure if I should update it. . .
