Installed a video doorbell camera and now my chime is doing this. Anybody one know what is going on? I had already replaced the transformer and old doorbell was working fine so I know it’s not an issue with power.

When did the indoor cam C120 get discontinued?

Had no idea and only found out when I attempted to purchase one the other day. Was this recent or has it been a while?

Indoor Cam 2K install to Homebase?

I decided to add a pair of refurb 2K Indoorcam cameras to my existing setup with a Homebase2, nothing suggested it was an issue, the install process asks if you want to connect to a Homebase or wifi, and when I select Homebase it asks me to install a Homebase?

Am I missing something? I really don't want to waste an SD card in the unit.

Warning: Eufy return experience has been awful… almost $800 order

Just sharing my experience in case anyone is considering buying directly from Eufy.

My 80-year-old mom accidentally ordered the wrong Eufy security products. The items were unused and never installed. We realized the mistake about two weeks after delivery when I went to set everything up for her.

We tried to start a return online, but the return process didn’t seem to work properly. We could pull up the order using the email and order number, but there was no clear way to actually request a return from that page.

So we contacted support by email. They told us we needed to resend the request using very specific wording. We did that.

Then Eufy replied saying that because the products weren’t faulty, they wouldn’t approve a refund. Instead, they offered a $23 refund and told us to keep the products.

The order was almost $800.

To make this worse, we had already been told that exchanges weren’t possible and that we’d need to place a new order for the correct products. So we did that…another almost $800…only to then be told the original order couldn’t be refunded.

I also spent about 30 minutes on the phone with what appeared to be an AI customer service agent. It couldn’t process the return, couldn’t cancel the new order that had only been placed a few hours earlier, couldn’t transfer me to a human, and couldn’t escalate it to a manager. The only option was basically “continue by email.”

I understand that ordering the wrong item is our mistake. That’s not really the issue. The issue is that the products are unused, the return was requested within a reasonable timeframe, the online return process didn’t work properly, and their proposed solution was $23 back on an almost $800 order.

Has anyone else dealt with Eufy returns directly? Is this normal for them?

At this point, I honestly wouldn’t recommend buying directly from Eufy. Maybe buy through Amazon/Best Buy/another retailer with a clearer return policy, because if something goes wrong, getting actual human support from Eufy seems extremely difficult.

Frustrated!

Should I toss the E340 doorbell cam

The thing loses connection multiple times per day. It says great signal connection to home base 3, I try the multibridge and it connects, then after a short while it shows the no connection to multibridge icon on the Home Screen. Between this E340 and the numerous missed thumbnails I get with the eufy professional E330, I’m at my wits end with eufy products. Support just runs you around in circles and never resolves anything. Is eufy the best wireless option? I really don’t want to deal with a POE system with wiring and cost.

S220 battery doorbells draining batteries for no obvious reason

I have two S220 battery doorbells that have given me very few issues for the better part of a year. In the last week both have drained seemingly instantly at different locations. They don’t have a lot of detections. They are both connected to Homebase in their respective locations. Indoor wired C220s working fine on same connections and systems. Unfortunately can’t get to them for a month because they are in remote locations. What happened?

Homebase Pro or a recent Software Update causing drastically speed up of battery power

Eufy battery cams used ot be some of the best at battery consumption, but all of a sudden they are crap. Was it switching to Homebase Pro from Homebase 3 or was there some sort of update. All camera settings remained the same?

Good HDD/SSD options for Eufy HomeBase 3 right now

Looking to buy storage for my Eufy HomeBase 3, but drive prices seem pretty inflated lately. What HDDs or SSDs are people buying these days?

I currently have 5 floodlight cams + a doorbell cam, and may enable continuous recording for a few days at a time when needed. Appreciate any suggestions on what’s been reliable and the best value right now.

Expanded storage in Homebase S380 has failed now twice

I've now gone through two Crucial BX500 1 TB drives where the same thing happened both times: the drive appears and gets formatted in the app and appears to work fine, but then a few days later, the storage is back down to the base 16GB. I noticed here (https://service.eufy.com/article-description/How-to-expand-the-Local-Storage-of-the-S380-HomeBase-HomeBase-3) that Eufy says peak power should be 6 W (1.2A), but I noticed on the drive it says 1.7A. But I've seen other reports of this drive working perfectly. I'm trying to get the S380 replaced, but is it the issue or am I just using the wrong drive?

With high memory prices, which hard drives are you buying for Eufy HomeBase 3?

How often do you need to reset the HB3 and how ofter do other Gremlins appear for you?

I installed a Homebase 3 with 4x e330 24/7 cameras about a month or so ago. Had also purchased a e340 video doorbell but had to return it as it was faulty so will wait for it to come on sale again before adding that to the network.

When it has been working I can't fault it at all. The AI has been amazing aside from some teething with misidentifying shadows, tools in the garage etc but was able to move things around now so its not giving too many false positives.

Issues that have arising so far have been a little cumbersome. e.g. One camera gets 2/4 wifi bars to the homebase, so I put it onto the multibridge. However, every now and then it goes offline on the app (red flashing LED on the camera) and I need to power cycle it which involves going into the wall as it is piggy backed behind a power socket. It happened a few times so just leave connected on the homebase which means live viewing is buffering every few seconds.

Secondly, this morning the Homebase stopped recording (for the first time). Noticed it after checking the app when I wasnt getting any morning notifications when the kids were going to school. Consulted chat GPT and reset the homebase in the app and it records fine now albeit with the missing footage.

I was wondering how normal is this? Generally how often do you need to power cycle the cameras and the homebase a year? For example after resetting it today it went back to default settings (all motions, 4k recording etc so had to manually change each camera setting). I read on the forums that it's a known issue, but would like the know the frequency of it to be aware to keep an eye out for these.

For reference I checked my HB firmware and its still running 3.8.2.0

Thanks

Beware S380 3.8.2.8 update - constantly falling offline

My Homebase 3 just updated this morning from 3.8.2.0 to 3.8.2.8. It had been working very well and stable with 3.8.2.0.

With this new update 3.8.2.8, the Homebase and all the attached cameras keep going offline multiple times every hour.

S220 doorbell lag and drain battery

Received a new S200 doorbell. Lag and connection is terrible, despite app saying WiFi is great. Despite being in doorbell only mode, app shows battery has lost half of its charge in a day.

Eufy send a replacement, am experiencing the same with it. Is there. Software/firmware setting or issue that could be causing this?

Wired 2k battery Doorbell T8210 draining fast and charging slow

Hi all! I have suddenly noticed my 2k battery Doorbell T8210 wired doorbell is having battery issues. It's been fine for 1,5 years but suddenly it's draining quick (about 25% on a day, energy is set to balance) and it chargers very very slow, only 7% in 10 hours. Anyone who has similar issues and/or knows what I can do to remedy this issue? TIA 😄

Yesterday's update = Cameras offline

So, my Homebase 3 received and update yesterday, and now 5 Eufycam 3 and 1 indoor camera are offline. They didnt turn off, they simply cannot seem to get online. I have a motion detector, and that is working well. Should I just wait it out or is there an usual step-by-step to undo this?

Thank you all.

Which - if any - of these numbers is the serial number?

If none of them is, where do I find the serial number for the Solocam S350? Mine will no longer power up, so I can’t see anything in the app.

S380/HB3 AI Empowerment vs S3 Pro camera AI?

Curious if anyone has compared the built in camera AI on the S3 Pro with the HB3 AI Empowerment? Both offer Human, Pet, Vehicles and Other, with AI Empowerment offering Human Recognition, which I’ve found to be quite lacking, making it a not compelling addition. Eufy seems to talk up the AI Empowerment but is it actually better than using the built in camera AI on the S3 Pro? Curious to know which works ‘better’, if anyone can speak to this.
