I (21m) live in a smaller city so online dating isn’t really an option and don’t like going to bars and not enough mutual friends to find a date. I was wondering is it ever ok to just cold talk to a stranger or is that more likely to come off a creepy. I understand stand that if she clearly wants to be left alone like head phones on or studying it’s probably not ok but I kinda stumped on a good way to meet people in my current situation

Ex: I sometimes go to a book store with a coffee shop would it be ok to just flat out ask to sit with someone sitting alone
