My husband called the main office a couple weeks ago and was told the max it would take to get backpay would be May 15th-16th but to call and check every couple weeks.
He called back yesterday and was told they could not give a time frame as they were still waiting for his lawyer to response to correspondence regarding their fee. My husband called his lawyer and they stated they were paid by SS April 1st and requested him to pay remaining balance. He explained he hasnt received back pay. They say he should have already and a case worker would reach out. He called SS back and told them what the lawyer said. She stated that they are showing no funds have been distributed and nothing has left the local office (illinois. She stated she'd send a email to the local office to reach out to them as something had to of not been inputted correctly and to call back in a week or so or wait for a letter in the mail.
Has anyone ever had this happen? If so what was the outcome?
