Debt collection Scam?
So today I received two emails mentioning that I owed money off two bank accounts back in 2019 from First Financial Bank of Omaha. This isn’t possible because I have never opened an account with the bank they list also I’ve never lived in Nebraska. Also both account were opened on the same exact day. They also list an address I have never lived in so I was very suspicious of the emails. The Debt Collection company, January, seems legitimate. I do recall getting a phone call from Financial Bank about some debt however when trying to ask about who they were calling seems they asked for someone else. I do currently owe Debt from my Car and student loans but according to my actual Credit information I only owe the amounts from those two things. The over 8k I apparently owe from those two supposed accounts isn’t on my Credit Card report
