RPM Fluctuations in a 1.2 l Turbocharged Engine, on cold starts
This is a repost. This is a 11 Year old, 2015 Tata (Indian Company) Zest with a 1.2l Turbocharged, petrol engine, with 45k kms on it.
Since last year, I have noticed this phenomenon, where the car's RPM would fluctuate when I let it idle for 1-2 minutes to let the oil circulate, after a cold start. I cleaned the Throttle Body using a throttle body spray, but it hasn't made a difference. The local mechanic assured me that it's nothing to worry about.
This usually happens only on cold starts, or when the car's RPMs are low. You can listen to the engine note too, but the "clack" sound is that of lightning stalks.
But I find it odd, as it did not use to happen when the car was new. Should I be worried?
