Which is cheaper? 56 kms(Toll Rs 0) in 110 mis or 73 kms (Toll Rs 115) in 85 mins

I go to meerut from delhi and I have 2 route options. I want to know which is more pocket-friendly considering (time is not money for me) so even if it takes 2 hours but it is easier on pocket so I will take that.

FYI: I have Toyota Glanza Petrol-manual and I drive light-foot, generally gets mileage around 19-20.

2 route options are:

  1. Via Meerut Road : It covers 56 kms in 110 minutes and have no toll.
  2. Via Delhi-Meerut Expressway : It covers 73 kms in 85 minutes and have to pay Rs 115 as toll.

So which is cheaper? My confusion arises because, the option-2 is 17kms longer and has toll of 115 but takes 25 mins less time so engine running time is less as compared to option-1.

If any automotive geeks can explain, how much more fuel does the Suzuki 1.2 L 4-cyl engine burn, in these extra 25 mins if I consider option-1 ?

Problem with E20 or my Car?

My pre-owned Honda Brio V MT(2012) is giving me 7-10 kmpl city mileage bumper 2 bumper.

On highways with max speed upto 80km/h on 5th gear it gives 16kmpl approx.

Is this an expected mileage with E20 fuel?

I have already swapped spark plugs, cleaned the throttle body, MAF, MAP sensors.

One of the mechanics suggested that I need to change the clutch plate as it can be applying pressure which can result in high rpm (if the clutch is bad)

I also have a Swift petrol whose pickup is obnoxious , my Brio's pickup seems actually dull when compared to what of Swift's.

Is it not expected that Honda cars have more performance than Suzuki in terms of pickup specifically?

Is there anything wrong with my car or is it the fuel?

Moreover, I have also heard about some petrol additives.

Do they really work and improve the mileage ?

Thanks in advance.

Need opinion on how to resolve

I have a grand i10 AT from 2014. 78k odo.

I installed CNG (thanks to gatkari) because i got 8kmpl in chennai traffic. Everything seemed fine , I had to replace iridium plugs, new ignition coils and cables.

Car was running fine for a month post cng installation. From last week, it is stalling randomly when I am coming to stop on coasting.

Once this happens, when I restart the car, the tacho is stuck at 0 even with engine on, the speedo is stuck around 40 even while stationary.

If I rev it hard, the cluster goes back to working. Also, when this happens, when I accelerate, the engine feels a shudder like its minor misfire.

Everything is back to normal when I revv up past 3-4k rpm. I checked battery, replaced it yesterday as it was 3y old and had salt around the terminals.

Also to note, this happened around 10 times and out of thatt 9 times were on cng and once was on petrol.

Poor grounding seems to be the culprit or some CAN wiring issue or any sensors.

Not sure what to look into without turning the car into a money pit. Please help me out.

Brembo Brake Kit

Hey guys, I’m planning to upgrade the brakes on my VW Polo 1.0 TSI MT to Brembo vented rotors and pads. I’ve clocked 25K kms and I just replaced my brake pads with the OEM TVS brake pads and I’m not too happy with the braking (never really was). I drive really spiritedly (to the point where once I’m done with my drive, the brakes are smoking) and after a while the brakes start to fade. Want an excellent upgrade that provides strong bite and braking confidence. Has anyone fitted their Polo with Brembos? Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Weird Glitch? Mahindra Marazzo M6 (2019) showing "Engine Temperature High" warning ONLY on Infotainment screen for 2 seconds.

Hey everyone,

Please watch the full video!!

I’m facing a bizarre issue with my 2019 Mahindra Marazzo M6 that has been cracking my head for the past 2 years. I really want to find the root cause and resolve this.

The Issue:
Occasionally, when I start the car, a "High Engine Temperature" warning pops up on the center infotainment/music system display for just about 2 seconds and then vanishes.

When it happens: It’s totally random. Sometimes it happens when starting the car after it has been parked for 2 days. Other times, I’ll drive for 30 minutes, switch it off, turn it back on, and see the message.

The Cluster is Normal: The actual temperature gauge on the instrument cluster (speedometer) stays completely normal (neutral/center level) at all times while driving. The car drives absolutely fine with zero performance issues.

What has been checked so far:

1 Authorized Service Center: Completely clueless. They couldn't diagnose why it's happening since no error codes remain active.

2 Local Mechanic: We checked the actual engine temperature gauge and the physical coolant temperature sensors. Everything is working perfectly fine mechanically.

The gauge is completely fine and the warning only flashes on the infotainment screen for a brief moment..

Has anyone else with a Marazzo or other Mahindra vehicles experienced this specific infotainment glitch? Any ideas on what could be causing this 2-second warning?

Appreciate any leads or help!

Help Deciding between Activa & Jupiter.

Was owning pulsar and RC is getting expired, renewal cost is too much as from other state.

Weekly Travel : 80 - 90 KM(location : Bangalore whitefield)
Using it for me & my wife during office commute.

Q : Should I go for 110 or 125 CC? will 110 cc will be good enough as mostly 2 people(weight 140KG) have to travel mostly.

Q : Will there be drastic change in terms of dropping from 150 cc to 110 CC.

Q : Honda is reliable but cost efficient but I am hearing issue with Jupiter with respect to Vibrations & service not up the mark.

Seems the choice is between reliability + low maintenance v/s Design + good space.

What would the fellow community suggest. Please provide your opinions.

Any way/hack to run a 10yr old diesel car in Delhi?

Hi! My father has a 10yr old diesel car (2016, DL registered). The car is in excellent condition and hardly used, we are finding it difficult to part ways with it.
Can we re-register the car in another state and use in Delhi? What if we use the car in Delhi like this, can it be impounded or do we have to pay a fine? Honestly the risk of a fine is manageable if we get to keep the car.

Engine oil leak underneath the airbox

Spotted this oil leak underneath the airbox mid trip through a hose that I got to know spits oil when crankcase pressure is too high but the engine oil level seems a bit too low from the time I checked prior to the trip. I'm taking it to the service center next week earliest, wanted to know beforehand whats causing this as I already drove about 70 kms in this condition back home cause nothing felt different.

The model is a Svartpilen 250(2021)

2015 Celerio VXi for 3.3L?

Planning on buying a 2015 Celerio VXi Automatic transmission in Bangalore from Cars24.
Second owner, driven 51k kms and base price + extended warranty, service charges, RC transfer comes to ~3.3 lakhs.

Cars24 has an assured buyback of 1.5 lakhs within 3 years, so my effective cost should be lower.

Got inspection done by a mechanic and he signed off on it. Transmission isn’t too smooth and suspension isn’t great but he claimed there’s nothing unusual for a Suzuki car of this age.

Is it worth the price as a learner car for a couple of years before I upgrade to a newer model?

VW Polo, wrecked clutch

My dad doesn't really drive my Polo well, he provides way too much acceleration input before reaching half clutch. Unfortunately, the clutch broke down yesterday in the middle of the road. Didn't have many options so we ended up calling GoMechanic. I don't know cars well, Gemini says it's reasonable but the clutch is definitely priced on the higher side.

Could someone that knows these parts well, help with whether this is reasonable??

Toyota Glanza 2022 G Tyre Change/Upgrade Suggestion

Clocked ~45k KMs on the stock apollo tyres. Now the wheel's sides are tearing and puncture-walas suggest filling air every 3-4 days and chalao for another 4-5 months. They also said this brand is absolute trash.

I live in Navi Mumbai, and my daily commute is ~55kms towards (50% old Mumbai pune Highway, 50% village). Each tyre has minimum 5 punctures filled with puncture strips; currently not leaking any air. But considering recent increase in "side tear" - I am considering changing the tyre before monsoon kicks in.

Any brand/model suggestions or any size/profile upgrade recommended without having to change the stock alloy?
