In July I bought vstrom 250sx and clocked 6000 kms with this. Past 15 days I have been trying to accelerate it to its limit but the rpm is stuck at 9k resulting in max speed of 135-38 kmph while at first I clocked 155 kmph in it.

Ps - 2nd service was done. I asked the Suzuki dealership owner about it and he said it might have a throttle response issue.

Rpm issue is in 6th gear only.

Kindly guide me on what could be the possible reason for this situation and how I should handle it in the service centre?

In my last post people suggested that I should get a VSTORM. I took the test drive and it felt good. Power is optimal for me and I can handle its weight even though my feet were not planted properly.

What happened was the bike got tilted a bit to the right while moving it and if it would have been RE I would have definitely dropped it.

The dealer quoted me 220000 including a jacket and gloves.

I can maybe trim the price more because I have a connect in suzuki and I can try get the discount from him.

Do tell if the deal is roughly priced for VSTORM!! Thanks to this community for positive response.

Hello everyone, I have been thinking of buying my first bike because I got a job this year and got posted far away from my hometown. The city in which I am posted has showrooms of YAMAHA, HONDA REDWING, SUZUKI, TVS, HERO and RE.

My requirements are-

1. Adequate power.

2. Comfort.

3. Capable of touring.

4. Ruggedness.

5. Value for money.

6. no nonsense gimmicky bike.

7. Weight is not an issue.

I have been researching Vstorm, RE meteor 350 and tvs rtx mainly.

Confusion is -

1. Whether there are any typical RE Related issues(overheating in long touring) in meteor 350 or can consider it.

2. TVS RTX reliability in long haul.

3. If VSTORM is value for money.

My height is 5'7 weight around 70 and a pretty fit guy.
