Hey everyone! I know there's already been a thread about this, I just wanted to provide additional confirmation for anyone considering it that you can buy a new iPhone and pay in monthly installments without actually activating with one of the major carriers. They do send you an unlocked phone, and the trick of continuing three times on the screen where it wants you to activate with one of the major carriers worked for me. Specifically, when I ordered mine, I chose the T-Mobile option, but I don't think it matters which you pick because I've seen comments from people who picked Verizon or AT&T. I sent my old iPhone to US Mobile as a trade in, because they offered more than Apple, and am waiting for that to be delivered and processed.
