It’s been fun

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Starlink. When I was able to get it, I did. Had a hotspot and didn’t get the best signal. Been on Starlink for 2.5 years and it was great, but fiber became available and I had it installed a couple weeks ago. I was on the 100Mbps plan since it became available and I planned to keep it as a backup, but now that Starlink raised the rates and it’s now more expensive than fiber, I’ll just reactivate if fiber goes down as needed. Still love Starlink, but raising rates when fiber is becoming more widely available isn’t a smart move. I still have a mini, so I’ll still be active here.

Hang in there everyone. They’ll eventually have to lower rates to compete. I think this is just a big money grab ahead of them going public.

I’ve had Starlink for a few years now and fiber just became available where I live. Fiber was installed a few days ago. I plan to keep Starlink as a failover and need a new router. My current system is a NETGEAR Orbi and it’s outdated and I plan to get a WiFi 7 router. I currently have 2 nodes for the Orbi at each end of my house and one in the basement. Just trying to make sure I keep good coverage in and outside of my house.

What routers and extenders do you all recommend? I’m pretty knowledgeable about setting stuff up so that’s not the issue. There’s just so many options that I’d like input from others that know more than I do.

TIA.
