not sure if i post this here but i just want an opinion on what to do (xbox account)
hello everyone, basically I just wanted to come on here and get some opinions from anyone who reads this. I want to share how my account was kind of taken off of me it’s a strange story but hopefully you will get some understanding through reading this so I’ve had my XBOX account for over eight something years I think and the only reason I remember that is because one of the first games I played on my Xbox One was Fortnite and it was in season five. I got it for my birthday. anyway, time carried on and I eventually got a girlfriend and I shared the account with her because it was harmless and really had no intention of doing anything with it until things came to and end. she eventually ended up gaining full access to my account because she switched all my emails and the passwords and got a verification code so I need to verify it every time I try log into the account and I’m just kind of stuck I want to sell the Xbox. I know there’s a factory reset thing where you can just wipe all the accounts off the Xbox but it’s the principality of getting my old account back which I had for you know over eight something years as mentioned previously there was a lot of money a lot of time and a hell of a lot of effort put into that account just for it to get taken off of me within a month or two and I just want to hear if anyone else has got any other opinions about what I should do I’m thinking of contacting Xbox support but that’s my last resort because it could take long or possibly wont get the account back I know my old username‘s and passwords and the old email that was first used on the account ever so yea just kinda stuck really and thought id come on here and see of anyone had any opinions as i said in the title i dont know if this is where i should be posting this as i dont use reddit often but if anyone can give me some feedback it would be greatly appreciated thank you if you have read this.
