Employment/Termination Legal advice wanted - Ontario
I recently lost my job because the business decided to close the location. We weren't a mass termination due to us being a group of 29 employees, the req min is 50 iirc.
We were told on April 29th & my notice said I would be terminated "Without Cause" on the 7th of May. we ALL found out at the same meeting on the same day, April 29th ~10am.
We have people who worked there from at long as nearly 25 years to as short as 5 months, Isn't there some sort of law/route of informing workers & notice periods?
We were told we would get our unused vacation paid out but they never mentioned termination pay, wouldn't we be legally entitled to a weeks pay?
We employees know of ESA violations and other such shady happenings at this company from management.
We are looking to get the pay we are owed but don't know what to do.
