How do I [23F] tell my best friend [23F] that I am dating someone [31M] she doesn't like?
Please don't call me cowardly or anything, I have extreme anxiety and I want to go about this situation as perfectly as I can.
My best friend and I play online games together and sometimes add people from this game on Discord. At the beginning of this year, we made a friend that we talked to for a bit. She gets discards people really easily and he ended up annoying her so she blocked him. He didn't do anything specifically to warrant being blocked. I kept talking to him, and eventually grew feelings for him. We met in person this weekend and I really like him and want to officially enter a relationship. I haven't told my best friend that we've still been talking, let alone that I would like to date him. She doesn't like him, she's even brought him up negatively months after she blocked him, and doesn't know that we met up. We do everything together and we're very close, and I already feel bad about doing this without telling her.
I have no idea how to reveal this to her. She is my only IRL friend and I don't want to lose her or make our relationship weird. I know I need to put my happiness first, but I would not be happy being friendless as well. (I don't think she'd unfriend me but I don't want to go through that rough period of her being mad). I have no idea how I would word this and I'm nervous!
