Asian martial arts movie (early 2000s?) with female lead, artifact quest, living stone soldiers, dream ending
I’m looking for an Asian movie (possibly Chinese, Hong Kong, or Taiwanese) that I watched on VCD in the early 2000s.
What I remember:
Female main character (young adult, long hair)
Modern-day setting and modern clothes (not ancient China, no costumes)
Martial arts movie with mostly punches and kicks
Young cast, possibly a group of 4 people
One male character around her age who was mysterious and may have been a thief
Female lead chased and fought the boy in city streets early in the movie
There was also a short comic-relief friend who wore a cap and wasn’t much of a fighter
The group was searching for an artifact
Later they explored caves/tunnels
The heroine carried multiple white glowing tubes/light sticks and threw them into dark areas to see ahead
Final sequence took place in an underground chamber/temple
The heroes fought many living stone statues / terracotta-warrior-like guardians (not sure if they were actually terracotta warriors)
No swords that I can remember
Ending twist: the heroine wakes up and it seems the adventure was a dream
However, she is still holding the artifact (possibly a small statue/guardian figure), implying it was real
