FRESHLY SPAWNED INTO 11TH(HUMANITIES GANG)see body
👋Hey everyone!I stumbled onto this sub while trying to map out my future, and honestly, the vibes here are immaculate.
I'm officially starting Class 11 this year, and I'm trying to be super proactive about my setup instead of leaving it to the last minute.I picked the Humanities stream because I genuinely love the subjectsI'm taking History, Eco, Pol Sci, and Psych.
But here is the major plot twist: I don’t have Math as a school subject. I’m 100% down to self-study higher math from scratch using free online courses (blessing the internet for PW), but I need a reality check.
. lssHasnyone else tackled the IPMAT Quant section without having math in school? How did you stay locked in when the calculus started getting too real?
Also, keeping it completely transparent, I got a 72% in my Class 10 boards. I’m aggressively targeting a 95%+ in my 12th boards to fix my stats, but navigating the whole IIM space with this background leaves me with a few burning questions. I’d love to get the community's perspective on these:P
For anyone who came from an Arts background into an IIM, did you still find space for your love of human behavior, history, or economics in a business classroom? Or does it just become pure corporate coding?
** I know IPM is a whole 5-year journey at Indore, but I've been thinking about the 3-year exit option to try for IIM Bangalore via the CAT exam. Is it incredibly stressful to prep for the CAT while trying to survive the daily academic pressure inside an IIM campus?**
Will top-tier colleges like IIM Bangalore completely ghost me for a 72% in Class 10 if I drop an excellent 12th score, high college grades, and have a deep passion for a humanities branch? Do diversity points actually come through to level the playing field?
IS📌 IPM Actually Worth It? For those who are currently studying at Indore, does the campus culture, peer group, and overall learning experience feel genuinely fulfilling, or do you ever wish you had gone to a conventional undergraduate college first?
I’m incredibly excited to dive into these next two years of school, even if self-studying math feels a bit daunting right now. I would love to hear your stories, advice, or even just some encouragement from anyone who didn't take the traditional engineering or commerce route.Wishing everyone here the absolute best with their own prep! 🎉🔏
