Wood Movement: box bottom

I'm getting ready to finish making some chests. The original plan was to do mortise and tenon for the box bottom (solid cherry) and glue it in to keep the box from racking. Doug Stowe says use plywood for the bottom and glue it in or leave it free floating if its solid. This makes me thing putting the bottom in might cause the sides to get pushed out and tear the box apart if it swells. If I poly this is it really going to be that big a deal? The sides are held together by dovetails.

I've pretty much ignored wood movement. I know to make sure grain direction lines up, to sticker wood when storing it, plywood doesnt worry about movement and to finish all sides of a project equally. That's it.

Duet?

Is there a place to find duets with ocarina and guitar? I have a 12 hole c bass ocarina and my wife has one of those guitars with strings on it. I feel like this ought to be a thing.

Empty pockets

Emptied the pockets of my apron looking for the missing nut to my rockler bevel. Also I'm starting to get really annoying with the cheap garbage rockler is pretending is worth a lot of money.

Clamp while orbital sanding?

I'm sanding 3/4" panels and I've been clamping them down onto the workbench but this is becoming tedious because I have to reposition the clamps to get the corners that were clamped. Which involves turning off the sander and moving everything around. Is there a better way to clamp a panel to the workbench for sanding? I swear I've seen low profile clamp things but for the life of me I cant figure out what to search for.

Edit: thanks all. Some microfiber cloths were enough to hold the boards in place. And I've got some rockler bench dogs coming that I think will solve this along with several other problems I was having.
