Double Mastectomy, DIEP Reconstruction - Looking for Hiking pack suggestions or experiences in general

Seems like a strange thing to focus on. My own journey has been mostly surgical at this point. After 3 surgeries and being in "post surgical care" since April 1st (72 days). I'm finally cleared to normal duty. As I look forward to the next several years of Hormone Blocking therapy I've been fixated on getting back to hiking, but just learned that backpacks are discouraged because of the increased risk of lymphedema.

Does anyone else hike or done backpacking trips with a modified backpack or found something they really enjoyed. I'm at the point where I might design my own, but I'm interested to see if there are any other items already out there that have been tested by actual breast cancer survivors especially if you've had breast reconstruction.

Additionally is there any place or outdoor experience that felt very healing through out any part of the Cancer process?
