Insurance company playing games, Is this normal?

Got into a car accident, rear ended, not at fault back in September 2025.

Suffered upper back injuries and have been getting physio and massage to improve. Unable to do most of my household work but can push through some of it and work.

Also got pregnant, couple months in to the accident and now I’m in my third trimester. Insurance company requested an IME with some doctor that specializes in Tort cases who noted my actual concerns somewhat accurately but takes aggressive leaps in conclusions stating I am recovering and this is Maximum Medical Improvement.

There is alot of conflicting information in the report and the adjuster has cancelled my Physio benefits. I have exhausted my work benefits and its ironic that insurance hasn’t paid for anything yet.

I’m thinking I should just lawyer up on this but the following are my concerns:

  1. I feel like there is a pressure to close this case before birth.

  2. The IME seems to have excessive holes in its conclusions blaming my injury on other factors pregnancy, weight gain and hormones.

  3. Adjuster is intentionally answering to selective concerns while ignoring requests to involve my OB.

Any advice is appreciated.
