THE EMAIL I JUST WROTE TO MY F**N MPP
AND DONT FORGET TO MENTION THIS IS THEIR LAST TERM
Dear MPP Riddell,
As a paramedic student residing right here in your riding, I am writing to you today with absolute frustration regarding the current state of OSAP. The cuts to the Ontario Student Assistance Program have devastated students, and we are demanding that our grants be brought back immediately.
Before entering politics, you spent 30 years as a professor at Conestoga College. Because of that extensive background in higher education, you know the realities and financial struggles of students far better than the other MPPs in your caucus, and certainly better than blind Doug Ford. You saw firsthand what it takes for students to succeed, which makes it entirely unacceptable that you still voted 'no' on reversing the OSAP cuts.
You are actively choosing to be part of the problem rather than standing up for the students in your community.
Students are the future frontline healthcare workers, builders, and professionals of this province, yet we are being entirely priced out of our own education. If these OSAP changes are not reversed and our grants are not restored, I am sure as hell this will be your last term as MPP. Nobody will be voting for you in the next election if you continue to abandon us.
Do the right thing, remember your decades in the classroom, and fight to bring our grants back.
