Travelling for dental work

Just putting it out there to see what people's experiences with travelling overseas for dental work have been.

I've got an implant I'm having issues with (I've had it for about 12 years) and was prewarned by my dentist that if I require it to be redone (if I decide to do so) it would be around $6.5k so just researching some alternative options as that's definitely not financial feasible for me at the moment.

Gym rule change

So my gym has decided to go down the path of pushing competition towards the IBJJF (we are primarily a gi school) but because of this, we are incorporating their rule set into our day to day training.

Is this going to put my training at a disadvantage long term? I've been a blue belt for a few years and been able to play around with various submissions that I am now suddenly "not allowed" to do. A bit of a bummer as some of them have become a part of my game.

I'm not overly interested in competing but this feels regressive. Probably a silly question, and I'm obviously going to bring this up with my coach, but I'm just wondering if continuing to train in this enviroment will open massive holes in my game? Are gyms that train under similar guidelines (like limited leg locks) even common? I just don't really understand this decision when so many are moving away from the IBJJF.
