Verdanthar the chosen of Cyric, by me

Meet Verdanthar, the Chosen of Cyric!

Verdanthar is a recent\* antagonist in the POTA game I am part of, first appearing in our campaign in December of 2024. He was memorable enough that I had to paint him (and sculpt!) which this is the second result of! This particular painting sat unfinished in my canvases for months as I I tried to figure out how to do his scales and what to fill in the background with. Green dragons are very snake like so I used a viper on a limb reference, which has the snake arching back over its back, making it seem to turn around backwards. The effect in the painting turned out well imo!

In all, roughly 50hrs of work across 9 months bc of his shelved time.

16x20in stretched canvas, acrylics.

The painting is for sale. See comments for links or head over to my profile for them!

First market nerves: Honest feedback on my pricing for this quality?

I am doing my first vendor market soon (Off The Rails Shop Small Crawl in Cabot) and I am honestly spiraling a bit with anxiety. Most of the other vendors there are boutiques, food trucks, and crafty home decor types like soap or candle makers. I am worried that because I do more technical and stylized art, the crowd won’t have any interest in what I do or will think my prices are weird for a craft fair.

I really need an honest reality check on if my quality matches my prices for this kind of crowd. I am mostly focused on the impulse buy stuff because I know my big $400 canvas and $700 sculpture are statement pieces that probably won't move.

I have buttons and magnets for $5, 4x6 inked drawings in sleeves for $20 to $30, and 5x7 panels for $30. My smaller stretched canvases are $35 for 3x11s and $40 for 8x10s, and I also have 6" ornaments between $30 and $50. Small sculptures are $55.

Looking at the photos I have attached, do these prices feel like a fair value for the work? I am specifically worried about the $30 to $50 range. Does that feel like an "easy yes" for a walk by customer or is it a hard sell for this demographic?

I am just trying to process the anxiety and get my head straight before the event. Any direct honesty on the art vs the price or tips for being the "odd artist out" at a boutique-heavy market would be huge. Thanks.
