Managing a need to over-apologise?

I don't have an official diagnosis yet so please delete this if needed, (but i am like in the process of getting support, it just takes a while with waiting lists and everything) does anyone have any advice with managing a need to over apologise? I kind of embarrassed myself in front of a girl i really do like, and i have already apologised (multiple times) and i don't want to do that again, I know that doing that and seeking the reassurance makes the cycle of it worse, but i don't know how to just sit with this intense need to apologise repeatedly, is there something i am meant to do to manage the feeling better? or is it just learning to be able to sit with it
