Advise on fence situation
Hello! We are just after any advise if this is the right place to ask!
Building in a new estate in Victoria Australia and neighbour (Also new build) has built this fence without any consultation with us, we owned our land and it was titled prior to this fence being constructed. They have then come to us with a invoice to pay half the fence, we said we arnt paying it due to them not getting / attempting to contact us prior to fence being constructed and the fence in our oppinion if very poorly built with nails and wire sticking out of the fence, the fence cracked and quite easy to push with wooden slate then moving the whole fence.. Should they have contacted us we would have explained we require a colorbond fence which we are now going to have to cover this fence with to secure our dog. We would have paid the half of a standard fence be it wood or colorbond which ever was the cheapest but no communication was held.
We have sent a fencing notice to the owner of this property, despite the house also being listed for sale in hopes of fixing this situation.
Is there any other things we can do to have this fence removed and rebuilt safely an to what we required or will we be forced to pay for the whole thing.
