Penalty refund— contact number?
Hi everyone. Does anyone know how to get to the billing department? I received penalties for a two years back to back due to my tax preparer’s negligence.
I submitted substantiating proof as well as them admitting fault, and I sent it over last year after paying both years’ penalties. I received a letter around winter 2025 that they were looking into the matter and confirmed the preparer’s name. I am actually looking forward to getting my money back because this wasn’t my fault. Yes, I confirmed with an agent that if they confirmed that it was not my fault, I would receive a full refund for both years. Does anyone know how to get in touch with a human In the billing department? I had a super helpful agent from the main line, but he told me to speak to someone in that department because they should have more information.
