Lost nipple sensation after pumping 4 years ago, has anyone experienced this?

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced long term loss of nipple sensation after pumping.

About 4 years ago, after I stopped pumping (I have been pumping for 5 months), I noticed a significant decrease in sensation in my nipples. Since then, the sensation has never fully returned. It's been about 4 years now.

I have about a 60% reduction in sensation in both nipples compared with before I started pumping.

I've always wondered whether the pumping could have caused some type of nerve damage.

Has anyone else experienced something similar, especially years after breastfeeding or pumping? Did sensation ever return? Were you evaluated by a doctor, and if so, what explanation were you given?

I was just wondering whether others have had a similar experience and what their outcome was.

Thank you!
