I’m a female software engineer with ~5 years of experience building production applications across web, mobile, and backend systems.

Lately I’ve been thinking about how early-stage founders often have to move fast between MVP, first users, and iteration, and how difficult it can be when you need someone who can cover the full build without splitting things across multiple people.

I’m currently open to working with a small number of early-stage founders on building and iterating MVPs (web, mobile, backend, and integrations like automation or AI where it actually adds value).

If you’re building something and could use help shipping or improving your product, I’d be happy to connect and hear what you’re working on.

Has anyone here outside the US/EU managed to build a stable long-term remote software engineering career with international companies?

I’m a software engineer with ~5 years of experience who previously worked remotely with a US-based agency on production applications across web, mobile, and backend systems. Since then, trying to land another remote role has honestly been much harder than I expected.

I’ve also tried reaching out directly to founders/startups, but a lot of conversations either stall out or turn into requests for unpaid work/trials, which has been discouraging.

Lately I’ve been wondering:

Are there companies that genuinely hire globally long-term?

How much harder is it from outside the US/EU?

Did networking, specialization, open source, referrals, or something else make the biggest difference for you?

Would really appreciate hearing from people who’ve been in a similar position and managed to break through.
