Hi everyone! I’m planning a Norway trip in June and would love some advice on how to spend my last few days.

Here’s my current itinerary:

  • June 11: staying in Bergen
  • June 12–14: Sogndal
  • June 14–16: Jondal (Hardangerfjord area)

My friend will be flying out of Bergen on June 16, so she will head back there that day. After that, I’ll be solo and have about 4 extra days (June 16–20) to explore more of Norway.

One important detail: I’ll need to be back in Amsterdam (AMS) on June 20 for my flight back to the U.S. on June 21.

I’m trying to decide if I should:

  • Stay in western Norway and continue exploring nearby areas, or
  • Fly somewhere else (like further north or another region) to see something different

I prefer hiking and wildlife more than cities. I’d love to make the most of those last few days without spending all my time in transit.

Any recommendations on where to go or how to structure those 4 days? Is it worth flying somewhere like Lofoten or Ålesund/Geiranger, or should I keep it more local given I need to get back to AMS?

Thanks in advance!
