Hope it won't be a long post, but I just wanted to pour my heart out.
I honestly despise the company I work at. It's been about 2 years, and this company takes every single opportunity to ruin people's lives and minds - they're highly allergic to government rules.
Where do I start?
- Passport possession (I denied and took it back when I got my EID - oh btw they had it for 3 weeks, and didn't give it to me knowing that my bank account was stuck)
- DELAYED SALARIES - one of the BIGGEST issue I'm facing here, every month we've to beg for our salaries. I'm still begging for my MARCH salary, let alone our April one.
- Salary deductions FOR NO JOY. Even after a year, our salaries are deducted during out annual leaves (we must fill out a stupid form to release 60%, flight tickets are provided). They’ve also deducted 3 days’ salary (two for the war, one for heavy rain), which is unfair and shows no concern for our safety. It makes it hard to even take a day off to unwind - we work Saturdays too.
The current market has been challenging, and I’m exploring a move to an environment that offers stability, growth, and a healthier work culture.
I’m deeply passionate about the work I do and take pride in building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and teams. Previously, I worked as an Assistant Manager (social media) at a digital agency in India, where I led impactful campaigns and managed a talented team. I’m eager to bring that same energy, ownership, and strategic thinking to a company that truly values and invests in its people.
Currently, I’m part of the marketing department here in Dubai, but I’m seeking an environment where my efforts are strategically prioritised.
