Hi!
I've met someone amazing with autism, we've been speaking for a little while now and both expressed an direct interest in each other.
(Please note: I'm NT so I've been trying to educate myself around ASD and communication between ND/NT as I really enjoy their company and want to better articulate myself and reduce the chance of any issues from how I converse).
Recently they've unexpectedly gone radio silent for the past few days and I wanted to make sure they're okay. They'd gone silent for a little bit prior because of a family emergency so I suspect this could be the same reason but cannot be sure.
I don't want the message to be misinterpreted or put too much pressure on them to respond so I thought maybe I could ask people here if they had any advice on the wording of my message is okay and it's potential interpretation by someone with ASD:
" Hey! I've missed speaking to you - is everything alright? I was worried something bad had happened so just checking in to make sure you're doing okay. If you feel like talking I'm here for you."
If anyone has any comments or advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. As stated before this is still new to me so I understand there is a lot I don't yet know.
