low stat applicant success!!

Received 6 II and 3 As with a 3.47 GPA and 507 mcat.

Some red flags from my app:
- 123 B/B section score
- Took over 2 weeks to submit secondaries to schools (received interviews to 3 and was accepted to 1!)
- multiple Cs (ochem 😭😭)

Some strengths:
- i had solid extracurriculars (clinical experience, leadership, volunteering and 2 research labs- no pubs)
- decent writing, i got it reviewed from people i trusted. i was able to get a pretty large scholarship which i mostly think was due to my writing!
- i had unique experiences in my life which i think helped, i also had a medical thing my freshman year of college which helped to explain some of my lower grades

have patience if you’re applying, 3 of my interview invites came after january and 1 of those lead to an acceptance! i would advise to do a lot of research on schools and look at mission fit. i also prioritized applying to schools that did holistic review to better my chances.

feel free to message with any questions!!!
