Incorrect Punch Biopsy Site Worry
hello!!
yesterday i had a vulva punch biopsy after eight months of estrogen-based treatments for perineum/posterior fouchette tearing and severe vulva itching. )-:
estrogen is to thicken skin, clob is for the itching. but because it lowers immune system response and i was suddenly preparing for a hip replacement in feb, i had to stop using it almost immediately.
yesterday, i had a follow-up with my doctor trying to get answers on why any of this is happening. they did internal tests and did a punch biopsy w/silver nitrate on my right vulva. the clinical notes only mention vulvar irritation and itching. i'm concerned my doctor forgot entirely about the posterior fouchette tearing, which is the worse of my issues, and should've taken the sample there instead/additionally?
it takes awhile to get a hold of them and my anxiety's going wild. so in the meantime:
in your experience, was a vulvar biopsy enough to address multiple issues? i just want to mentally prepare if there's a possibility of doing that procedure again,,,
sry if this is the wrong sub! but the symptoms feel most accurate to my issues 😭 thank youuuuu 💖💖💖
