$150 betta

These are pictures from a local fish store, the bettas are all $150, and after losing my two petsmart bettas in the same month, I’m kinda considering.
I don’t have the budget for these but if future me has the funds one day I wonder if these are worth it? They seem overpriced to me but would these be show type bettas?

EDIT: I started looking into eBay bettas, specifically wild types, if anyone has a recommendation I’d love to hear them!!

Rip I love you my sweet boy

This was my boy finn, he lived in a 10 gallon aquarium with ember tetras and shrimp, never once bothered them. I miss him so much, he was doing amazing and thriving but 2 days ago I drastically lowered the temperature in the tank because I read somewhere that the oxygen could deplete over night if it was too high. The next day he had clamped fins and was very lethargic, I changed the temp but unfortunately I woke up this morning to find him gone. He only lived 5 months and I feel horrible, the worst part is idk if I’ll ever find a fish quite like him. He was sweet and curious and came up to us whenever anyone walked close to the tank. He was like a water puppy, and I’m scared that if I try to replace him the new betta might attack its tank mates.
RIP finn, I loved you so much, you will be missed.

Clamped fins

I lowered my water temp from 82 to 78 because I didn’t want the oxygen to deplete too much during the night, two hours later my betta has clamped fins and is laying near the bottom- was the temperature a factor?
I’m in the process of testing the water, but it’s a fully established tank
10 gallons, planted, filter and heater with snails, shrimp and ember tetras

He was laying at the bottom, very lethargic and just now moved to the top

I changed the temp back up not sure if that was the right move to make

I am so glad I listened to the fish police,
I was going through my old photos and found this horrifying atrocity that was one of my first fish “tanks”. I had maybe three over the years (this particular one was from 2020, one of those tiny cup sized ones with a tube that filtered out old dirty water by adding more) I wish more people were willing to listen because this hobby is so incredibly gratifying!
I now have two betta fish and the difference is insane
