Loud Neighbors
My neighbors have really loud repetitive sex all day and night. No, I’m not exaggerating. They rumble my house so badly I feel like I’m practically in the same room with them no matter which room I pick. I can’t even turn my ceiling fans on because they will shake. I’m woken up through all hours of the night and often multiple times throughout the night.
I feel so violated in so many ways.
Some things are good, I move in 33 days. Top floor brand new apartment. I got a lawyer because I gave this apartment an accommodation letter from my psychiatrist because I wasn’t getting sleep. I moved to this unit which was worse. They wouldn’t let me out of the lease and now the disability law center and fair house act have found them in violation.
But these neighbors. How do I possibly get through this situation? I get two hours of sleep on a good night. It’s to the point where living feels tedious because I can’t get sleep.
AirPods fall out, earplugs give me ear infections, over the head earphone fall off. I already have an industrial fan in my room WITH the TV on.
I tried playing music but quiet hours, I tried tapping their ceiling and they just get louder, I’ve obviously complained to management so many times, they don’t even respond anymore. Not to mention, I work from home so I have to be here.
But this is my real life right now, and it’s so not fair.
