Next week is our first eid.

Looking for ideas on what to give her. Shes a very simple girl with no wish list.

She does like clothes but we just got married and she has many dresses which I got her.

Has anyone gone through a situation where there was a death in the extended family just days before a wedding?

My sibling’s mother-in-law, who had been terminally ill for quite some time, is in hospice and will like pass away within 48 hours. My wedding is in less than 10 days.

Out of respect for my sibling’s in-laws, I initially considered postponing the wedding. However, given how close we are to the date, it doesn’t feel fair to my fiancée, who has been waiting for this day. I also thought about toning things down, but I worry that this would take away from the vision she’s had for the wedding.

I’ve also been hearing comments from people questioning how a wedding can go ahead so soon after a loss in the family.

If you or someone you know has been in a similar situation, how was it handled?

Edit: I would like to add: the immediate family of the deceased live 4 hours of flight away. My sibling's spouse will not be attending the wedding

Also, my wedding is a one day event with Nikkah and reception.
