Any Sun City neighbors willing to support my poolside summer reading dreams?
This one is for my neighbors in Sun City.
I live right on the border of Peoria and Sun City, about a 15-minute stroll from Mountain View Rec center. On one of my weekend walks this winter I stopped in and asked about getting a membership. Though I am in my 30's, I really enjoy the relaxed, older crowd--and the pool looked lovely!
The woman at the front desk told me that everyone with a Sun City address has to pay a membership fee and are automatically members. However, since my address was technically in Peoria I would have to "use" someone else's membership.
I wanted to see if any kind Sun City neighbors would be open to sharing their membership with me. I am 31, have a PhD, and no criminal record. I just want a pool to read by on my days off this summer.
I am leaving the area in the fall to begin a new job as a professor so this would be limited to summer.
I'm also going to try talking to folks I see on my walks and see if I can find a "sponsor" that way.
