What is a good place to buy an electric car, preferably used?

Not looking for any luxury brands like Tesla.
Gas is going up, car got one leg in the grave with an unfixable ac, and I got an unused electric charging port in my garage designed for electric cards. (just to be clear its that thick 3 prong one that used to be only for dryers.)

Looking for a dealer, not an individual seller.

How do I help a wandering stray dog?

Phoenix friends, I need your help! I know he’s one of many on our streets, but when I was leaving the Rose Mofford dog park I noticed this guy walking around and started following him. No collar and definitely looks like he’s been on the street awhile, his fur is matted and it’s hot out. I called the humane society and they said they could have someone out within 48 hours(?!) - called 911, and they were more receptive, but I’ve just been waiting and watching him now for the past hour as he goes up and down West Mission Lane and occasionally lies under a shaded tree. A woman who works in this complex said he’s been around since she got here around 7am. I have my two dogs in the car, so I unfortunately can’t get him in my car myself. I want to help this sweet guy, what can I do? I don’t want him ending up in a kill shelter. What options do we have here? Any advice would be appreciated.

2br/2ba Home for Rent in Glendale Starting Aug. 1st

Renovated home in Glendale, AZ available for rent starting Aug. 1st. I own and manage it myself!

See Zillow listing for more pics + details but it has new stainless steel appliances, private backyard and front porch, fireplace, and a huge living / dining room that could easily fit an additional WFH setup or creative space. Neighborhood is very quiet and in walking distance of an elementary school.

More about us (landlords): we are AZ natives (one of us lives 10 mins away from this house in Glendale). We’re looking for trustworthy and reliable tenants. As long as you can afford the rent and you take care of the place, we don’t put too much emphasis on credit scores, etc. Pets are welcome with a refundable pet deposit. $2150/month. Open to price negotiation as well.

If you’re interested, DM me

Reputable house cleaning service/ people

I'm looking for some advice on house cleaning services. I've tried homeaglow and it was horrific. That's why I tried homeaglow actually. I was hoping to find someone good and just pay them privately. 4 no shows....would not recommend. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions? It doesn't have to be a company I'm fine with individual's.

Thanks

Looking for an alt-friendly salon in Phoenix that can do 3 generations in one day — willing to be a PR/promo story if it helps

I live out of state and I'm flying in this summer so my partner can finally meet my grandma.

(May or August, I'm flexible on timing, leaning May so I can see them sooner but August might make the most sense)

My grandma is getting older and my mother is disabled. They live in a crowded house with my uncle (mom's side). My grandmother helps support and take care of my mother.

Neither of them have much money and they save where they can and often that means not getting the clothes or haircuts they want. I want to surprise them by taking them to a salon together so they can have fun, relax, and feel pretty.

Here's what we're each looking for:

Grandma (sweetest most fun lady you'll meet): very short fine gray hair. she often complains that the people at greatcips cut her hair in such a way that she looks too masculine. for her I want an all-over fun color (no lightening needed since she's gray) and a cut that actually flatters her and makes her feel young.

Mom (very funny, laugh you'll wanna hear again): had to shave her head for surgery years ago and has been struggling with cuts/growing it out ever since.

Looking for a low-maintenance cut that grows out well so she won't have to constantly maintain it (they probably won't be able to go back to a salon at this level on their own, so it needs to last). Natural highlights would be amazing but might be out of budget.

Me: shoulder-length, just want a simple alt cut, nothing transformative. Happy to skip my service entirely if it helps the budget go further for them.

Budget: trying to stay around or under $500 total. I've gotten quotes ranging from $300 to $1,800, so I know it's a wide range and depends heavily on the stylist. I'd rather skip my own cut than cut corners on theirs.

Most important things:

 1. they feel HEARD

 2. they feel PRETTY

 3. they have FUN

Why alternative: I trust alt stylists more. They tend to actually listen, and the technical/creative bar is higher because clients challenge them with a wider variety of looks.

Open to: junior stylists, newer stylists building their books, model rates, beauty school for grandma's color, staggering appointments across multiple stylists at one shop, or skipping my service. Whatever makes the math work.

The PR angle: if any stylist or salon wants to use this as content (before/afters, a "treating my mom and grandma" reel, whatever), I'm fully on board. Genuinely happy to be part of someone's portfolio piece if it makes this possible.

I also think they are adorable and so fun. Personally, they are the type of people I love to see online. If anyone deserves something like this, it's them.

Recommendations for specific stylists (Instagram handles especially helpful) or salons appreciated.

Thanks Phoenix.

Artsy Urban Neighborhoods?

Hi there! I (W/22) am moving to Phoenix this July due to a new position and feel completely out of my element when it comes to choosing where to live. I am originally from Minneapolis and adore the urban artsy vibe of the Twin Cities.

I know I won’t be able to find the exact same thing, but does anyone have any insight as to what neighborhoods have a somewhat similar environment? My work is located in the Biltmore area for reference, and I’m hoping for somewhere that’s within a 20 minute drive from there, although accessible public transportation would be a huge plus!!

Sorry if this is too specific but I would love to hear the thoughts of some locals! Thank you! <3

I'm looking to build connections & for career opportunities in the greater Phoenix area.

I’m really just putting myself out there in hopes this can potentially reach the right crowd or individual who’s open and looking to offer an opportunity.

The market has been pretty rough for me, as it has been for many people. I figured it doesn’t hurt because the Reddit community is very broad.

I have 10+ years of experience having served in the Military & as a Federal Employee. I’m career driven, I have a Bachelors Degree & looking to start my Graduates degree this month. I’m 31, originally from Puerto Rico. I’m not from the area, been living here a year, and well it’s hard to connect with individuals in such a big city. Please reach out if you happen to be that person that is willing to give someone a potential opportunity, of course we can have conversations. I have a LinkedIn with my credentials.
