Successfully Dyed My Nubuck Dr. Martens
I posted a bit ago about how I was planning to dye my Buzz 5-Eye Dr. Martens black, and it worked out pretty great!
- The Dr. Martens were originally fuschia and the material is waterproof nubuck.
- I prepped by simply brushing the shoes with a suede brush since these were brand new. I used masking tape to protect the inner lining while painting the corners of the tongue as well as the yellow stitching, although I felt it was easy to avoid the stitches and removed the tape after layer two.
- For the dye, I got 3 oz of black Angelus suede dye and used a bit less than 1/2 of it.
- I applied three coats of dye, waiting until each layer felt dry (about an hour). I applied the dye with the wool dauber that came with the dye and a small paint brush for crevices while wearing gloves.
The result after three coats was a dark purple-brown-black that I am pleased as punch with! I got some dye on the inner lining but found this pattern very forgiving. There is some dye transfer when I touch the shoes with my fingers, I imagine there is a bit of excess dye they could not absorb, but I plan to apply some kind of fixative.
I will update in about a month with how well they've held up and the results of the fixative, but that's all!

And in order, the pictures are the shoes before dyeing, the first coat, the second coat, and the third coat/ final product. The color is harder to capture on camera, and the pictures of layers one and two are not fully dried.
Dyeing Nubuck Dr. Martens
Hi! I just got a pair of fuschia waterproof milled Nubuck Dr. Martens and I'm wondering how to dye them black. I see another user was able to dye their Nubuck Dr. Martens brown using Saphir Teinture Française, but I'd love to know if anyone has other ideas for this color. Any other information on the process of dyeing them would be greatly appreciated.
And a note, I am unsure how difficult it would be to dye them black, but I'd be happy with any result darker than their current color.

Stremio on Onn Full HD Streaming Device
I have a Vizio TV and just got the Onn Full HD stick in order to download Stremio from the Play Store. I logged in to my account, where I already had my add-on set up, and everything has been great! I've only been watching Euphoria, but so far so good. Just wanted to put it out there that the streaming stick seems to work well too.
7.5 mg Daily Dose Experience
Hi! I'm on the lowest dose of hydrocortisone I've ever been on and doing pretty good, so I thought I'd share my experience.
I was taking 20 mg hydrocortisone daily when I was diagnosed at 15, then 15, then 12.5, and even then my blood sugar was a bit high and I was getting moon face, so I'm finally down to 7.5 mg. I additionally take 5 mg DHEA, 0.1 mg fludrocortisone, and 20-40 mg omeprazole to deal with the acid reflux. I also specifically use Cortef.
I'm usually active pretty frequently, I ideally would be strength training several times a week. I have to look out for syncope in certain curcumstances (mostly waiting in lines, haha) but it's very managable.
I have no idea why I need so little hydrocortisone, but I'm feeling pretty great! My only issue is that I've been having nightmares lately, so I'm experimenting with a small dose at bedtime, but that's all.
If anyone else is on a low dose, I'd love to hear your experience.
