I’m feeling very discouraged after a couple days of not getting the best results with my new machine. It is automatic so I would think I would be getting more consistent results.
I need help dialing in. My beans were roasted on April 7th and they are from Crema coffee company based in Nashville (Columbia blend). I am measuring out 18 grams each time, and then using the machine’s tamper. On my most recent shot I got 45 grams in 32 seconds. I have done some experimenting, but I pretty consistently get significantly over 36 grams before or around 30 seconds, and I need help identifying the issue. Im just not happy with how the espresso tastes. I have tried all sorts of grind sizes, so I honestly don’t feel like that is the issue. Based on my research, I’m considering a WDT tool and seeing how that works.
