I had no idea that spiro enhances the effects of alcohol for some people. 😭 I’m on 100mg daily, my OBGYN said alcohol was ok. I am on lexapro so I only limit myself to a couple drinks, I’ve never gotten sick on it or even hungover. But omg I had a couple drinks last night and was violently ill not long after for two hours. It was AWFUL. I was so confused until I looked it up this morning and now I’m thinking spiro is the culprit (tho I’m sure the lexapro didn’t help either). I’ve never been sick like that, it got so bad I couldn’t stand and was considering the hospital lol.

Does this happen to anyone else and did it get better? I’ve been on it for a couple weeks and the diuretic side effects are just starting to subside.
