I'm 14 years old. I got my first period yesterday, and today is my second day. I had a terrible day; I felt wet and uncomfortable all day. How do you cope with this? I can't take it anymore.

I'm 14 years old and I still haven't gotten my first period. For several months now, I've had occasional brown spotting. I always thought it was my first period because I was told that the first time, the blood could be funny, but there was nothing. Just now, I saw a brownish discharge in my underwear, a little darker, and when I wiped, it was a little pink on the toilet paper. Is this finally my first period? I wanted to talk to my mom about it, but she told me to stop obsessing over it. End of discussion with her.
