I am in plat. I have a good win rate. I usually win games in castle age. I try to harass in feudal. Then go into castle where I mass up units. Then go for more aggression. I try to win the game when I feel I'm ahead. I easily can bank enough for initial imperial in every game, but I keep unit production during castle age.

I get games where I seem to be pretty well ahead of my opponent. Better upgrades with bigger army. While continuing my macro normally.

Then suddenly they are in imperial. Like seemingly before even getting veteran upgrades. Instead of producing units. I do not know why users do this. But I then typically have difficulty punishing it. And they get ahead of me.

I try to push and lose to it. Should I just go to imperial and start putting more into econ like get a late second TC?

I am not an expert at how this game works. I an masters in SC2. I play AoE4 usually under 300apm. Sometimes over. But I lose to users with less than 80spm. Obviously fast play and multitasking isn't everything. I'm not sure how to go about it. Mainly I have difficulty when they turtle up and go fast imperial like I mentioned. I would like to get to diamond. But sort of stuck in plat 1 and 2. Thanks!

Playing on 1v1 ranked with water maps banned.

I am pretty much destroying them the entire game. Taking better trades. Suddenly they get to imperial. I have 5-6 trebs my army is at his base. His dome is not dying. It's like a wonder. Workers just repair it. As soon as I push some units in to kill his workers, a giant army appears out of nowhere killing all my trebs. Then trample my army and push me back and kill me.

In the report shows that I was higher total score most of the game. But his total score just skyrocketed after hitting imperial. I did not bother trying to build defense or take sacred sites. I was in a significant lead so I was just sending everything I have to end the game. Doing basic worker production and economy at home to support my maxed army.

This has happened to me twice recently. But it has been even worse before. I always hate seeing Golden Horde when loading in. It used to be like this with Macedonia. But I am now happy to see Macedonia since I have better understanding on beating them. I do not understand how to beat Golden Horde.

I have replay if there is a way to show it.
