Would you rather AoE:V Be Colonial Again (Like AoE3), Ancient Again (Like AoE1), Online Again (Like AoE Online), WWI/WWII, apocalyptic, or 100 to 1,000 years in the future?
I'm bored and curious.
I'm bored and curious.
I have tried this but it doesn’t feel that good , maybe the French just can’t manage well with this strat ?
Even if I get 4 relics I feel like I give the other player too much space
I guess I don’t know which civs this is a good option against and which a bad one ?
I’m a lowly gold haha . Got up to plat 1 last season but haven’t played as much this season so Gold still
Hey everyone, I just released a new custom game mode mod for AoE4 called Civilization. It’s built mainly for 6–8 player FFA and Nomad matches, focusing on dynamic diplomacy, neutral objectives, and base inheritance. You can grab it for free right now in the in-game Mod Browser. Showcase & Guides:
1. Base & Villager Inheritance
I’m no expert, but I spent some free time looking through the information that is publicly available because I wanted to get at least an estimated timeline for those of us who are excited about the DLC.
Steam currently lists Raiders of the North for Q4 2026, while World’s Edge has described it as coming in Fall 2026. Taken together, that makes October or November seem like the most likely window.
I also checked several regional Microsoft/Xbox Store pages using the same method that revealed the September 22 date for AoE2’s The Viking Sagas. So far, I haven’t found anything similar for Raiders. There is still no exact date, price, or preorder information showing publicly. SteamDB also continues to list it simply as Q4 2026.
The other thing I looked at was previous AoE4 fall DLCs. The Sultans Ascend released on November 14, 2023, while Dynasties of the East released on November 4, 2025. Because of that, my personal guess would be early to mid-November 2026, probably somewhere around November 3–17.
If I had to rank the most likely dates based purely on the current information and previous AoE4 release patterns, I would put November 10 as the most likely, followed by November 3, then November 17. November 24 would be possible but less likely, and I think an October or December release is less likely than one of those November dates.
Very roughly, I’d personally put it around 35% for November 10, 25% for November 3, 20% for November 17, 8% for November 24, and 12% for any other date. Those percentages are obviously just my own estimate, not anything official.
This isn’t a leak or insider information. I just wanted to see if we could get a reasonable estimated timeline from what is publicly available.
If anyone has found something I missed, especially from regional storefronts, interviews, SteamDB, or non-English sources, I’d be interested to hear it.

Hi,
for the unaware: Tughlaq War Elephants have trample, not just the Raider. Community members seem to be unaware of this fact that you can stack 20 War Elephants together and have the strongest front line push known to man.
That is all.
Been away for a while but I'm subscribed to him on YouTube and I saw the title of one of his streams is "helping prep for egc". Is he not competing anymore?
Thanks to everyone's awesome feedback, I added some sections to aoe4stats.com. Please let me know if you come across any issues or have additional comments:)
Civ WR by Map now shows how favored and how specialized each Civ is.
Pick Rate vs WR shows sleeper and overrated Civs.
Landmark Path is a wizard that takes Civ, Map and opponent Civ as inputs and shows your highest WR landmark path.
I hope this is useful to the community!
guys i made it an application for age of empires 4 stats and match history.
if you wanna try, you can check aoe4analyzer.app and then you can download mobile app
we have very good graphics and real time notifications for your match starts and ends
I know, first world problems
Can we add the missing nations user flares
Also would be cool’s to combine the format so like “HRE +flag”
Thanks
i finally hit plat! this is my first time where I got out of gold, out of the 9 months of playing, I never played an RTS before this, like ever. I got amazing advice from so many people. I know to some plat is probably just whatever, but i feel fuckin great. It’s been hell trying to get here. guys thanks for all the help and advice to help me get to this point. 😄
This is a general call to every player of Aoe4! The Quick Match Q needs you!
We have lots of fun maps, more /3 and /40 and waaay more map bans than Ranked.
So don't be strangers.
There is still time to take part and earn your place among the best players if you want to sign-up!

My buddies and I always play on 400 max pop or more where we normally go late into imperial age and I got curious as to what civs this may benefit/nerf in comparison to others.
We are still very new players so it would always just end in us doing multi hundred large armies of each civs best units but I'm looking to get better and wanted to make sure I wasn't neutering myself with civ choice in the future
Hi !
I’m super proud to say I’ve finally reached plat 1, all those hours watching pro games helped so much (jeando gaming et palissade de ruon si vous passez par la gros bisous c’est grâce à vous et tout les cast/video)
So I’m ready for next season and hopefully get higher
I’ve wanted to share that with other players haha
On a more serious matter I’m looking to still improve so if anyone has any tips or recommendations to climb the plat I’m listening, or more funnier, tell me why I’m bad at aoe4(in game pseudo: Elibrirluinwe)
P.s : I know plat is not good compare to many people but it’s a lot of hours(around 400) I’ve loved playing and it’s still an achievement
I know two websites aoe4world and aoe4stats both give good information but the hours of gameplay is always the average. I know that I can maybe calculate and give estimation alone but I told myself since there are several websites related to aoe4 maybe there is one that I don't know.
The Templars have the largest number of unique units per name, an each age you advance you have three units to choose from- vaguely like the minor god system in Age of Mythology.
But I cannot for the life of me ever figure out which is the most optimal route to use.
I always choose Hospateller Knights- it seems logical because they can heal everyone as we go. But isn't the throwing axeman good? The Chevalier Confrere- what's the point, the Brother Templar is good?
Can anyone break it down?
Preface: I am not a good player
Today in 1v1 ranked, a Byzantine player took out my (Macedonian) TC with a ton of scouts and villies.
Is this a new meta?
Thanks
You’re close to each other so FC doesn’t really work but you also have choke points so aggression doesn’t really work. There are fish but they’re super vulnerable. I just play awkwardly then die.
