Full-armed Army Comparison Part2
This is the second part of the previous post, adding the Villager, Monk, Cavalry Archer, SP Infantry, SP Archer, and SP Cavalry units.
I have also included the revised Spearman, Horseman, and Knight at the end, fixing the errors mentioned previously.
I categorized the Shaolin Monk under SP Infantry and the Healer Elephant under SP Cavalry to avoid disrupting the original Monk formatting.
Full-armed Army Comparison
Awaiting the new DLC civs to bring more challenges to these warriors.
There are some confirmed errors and omissions—apologies!
HOL Hobelars
ZXL Spearmen and horsemen Firelance
JIN Spearmen Storm Lance
SUL Lancer Honed Blade
Two colors were not officially added to the game.
We only received Magenta and Dark Green; according to the string, the original plan was to add four new colors.
I hope these two colors can be added back in the next patch.
As the image, the codename for the Yue Fei DLC is “cordoba” the name of a famous Spanish city(Because of Spain's influence, there are also cities in the Americas named after this.). In Franchise, every DLC has an internal development codename. In AOE2DE, codenames usually start with “P” (for example, the base game codename was “Phoenix”), AOE4 start with “C” (the base game codename was “Cardinal”). Considering that this DLC is led by FE, it’s very likely that this was intentionally inserted as a hint. KoCR(also develop by FE) have a similar codename: "Cyprus" (the historical base of the Knights Templar).
In earlier AoE2 DLCs, codenames often directly hinted at their content. For example, “Palermo” pointed to the Sicilian and “Prague” hinted at the Bohemians. Even before official announcements, players could often infer the DLC content from SteamDB depot names. However, in more recent DLCs, they no longer hint at the current DLC, but instead foreshadow the next one. For instance, the Three Kingdoms DLC had the codename “peru”which hinted at this year's South America DLC. The South America DLC codename“paris”possibly hinting at an upcoming Viking DLC (since it introduced an unused Northern Europa garrison flag, and “Paris” may reference the famous Viking siege of Paris).
Considering this could be a hint, do you think this could be a clue to a new civilization besides the Vikings in the second half of the year?
