Did EcoFlow massively oversell what the Stream Ultra AC outlets can actually do?

I’ve got an EcoFlow Stream Ultra 2kWh with 2kW of solar attached, and I think I misunderstood what it could actually do.

Based on the marketing pics/descriptions, I assumed I could put it next to something like an air fryer or dryer and run that appliance directly from solar/battery via the onboard AC outlets without pulling from the grid.

But as far as I can tell, the marketing photos are just lying to us, as plugging it into any normal socket elsewhere in the house achieves basically the exact same thing. As the onboard AC outlets don’t seem able to provide any extra solar/battery power beyond the wall plug limits 🤷‍♂️

After testing, even when:

• solar is generating ~2kW
• the battery is nearly full
• and I’m running a ~2kW load via the onboard AC outlets

…it still pulls about 1kW from the wall socket instead of supplying it fully from solar/battery. It literally seems to just waste that extra solar, which feels crazy considering it can clearly handle the power while charging.

I assumed the solar input would effectively pass straight through to the AC outlets.

I do like the system overall, but it’s obvious now it doesn’t quite meet my needs, so I’m looking at expanding it.

My Question:

If I added a Stream AC Pro, would that allow another 1.2kW through the connection port? Basically, would appliances plugged into the onboard AC outlets then be able to pull the full 2kW from battery/solar before touching the grid?

I’ve seen loads of conflicting info, and EcoFlow’s website/support is spectacularly unclear and slow, so I thought I’d ask here before making any more painfully expensive purchases 😅
