Issue with Storm Guard Not Activating (DPU + SHP2)

Is there any issue others have experienced with storm
Guard not working until it’s toggled off then back on? This has happened multiple times where a storm is coming, but the app doesn’t seem to do anything about it until I toggle the mode off then back on.

Power is out! Neighbor is afraid of my Ecoflow!

So ridiculous! I have a charged Ecoflow Delta Max 2 available at my home and I am out of town over 1000 miles away. My little town was pummeled by storms and my power banks is 100% available to my neighbor who has a key to my place and lives directly across the street. However, she stated she is going to Home Depot (20 miles away) to buy a rechargeable fan and then drive 45 min to her daughters to charge it and then back home to use it and will continue that cycle because she is AFRAID of my power bank! I tried and tried to no avail, she does NOT WANT to use it! Why are people like this? 95 degrees!

DELTA 2

71 yr old woman, off grid, living in 5th wheel trailer. I have a Delta 2 with extra battery and 2- 220 watt bifacial panels. I live in No. California and it can get very hot. I'm planning to bring my powerbanks inside. Since I do not plan to use the propane heater, I removed a heating vent for the purpose of plugging in my power cord to an outside generator. I'm concerned the power cord may not be long enough. Can I use a good extension cord to plug in my peerbank to the generator?

Using Custom Solar as a Range Extender for my Tesla

I am on a solo expedition across the Americas with my Tesla Model X, which I have equipped with 300 watts of solar on my hood. Hypermiling to the extreme to make the impossible distance possible…

The solar panels allow me to also Overland for extended periods of time and not use the HV, powering my fridge, starlink, and kitchen….

Currently in Argentina, questions, comments, concerns all welcome!

All the best, Sandro & Beluga

Is there a way to get voltage and amps from Stream Microinverter?

I only see watts in the app and there's no real need to not show it?

If not there's an alternative way to get this data, cause I applied to the API with no answer...

Delta 2 Max - Fridge & Sump Emergency: Recharging Low

Storm last night took out power all over place. Luckily we still have power but my mom does not. Brought over the Delta 2 Max for the fridge and power the sump pump.

Input seems low. I did get the cables with the little metal piece in the middle. What else am I missing?

How fragile are the bifacial 220w (latest gen)

https://preview.redd.it/bxy9n2jtxbbh1.jpg?width=6144&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73aa28e6fad852eaee79d26e6cc166d0d629f7fc

Just wondering as I'm looking to upgrade the setup on my boat. It's a race boat and doesn't really have anywhere you can permanently setup panels, so I've just been trying this flexible panel over the deck at the bow.

The bifacials would be ideal for me as I'd imagine if get a fair bit of bounce back from the deck, and something that folds up to store away is great. The boat is on a swing mooring, so I just have to live with whichever way the wind/tide has pushed it and what shadows it gets from the rigging.

Only concern is whether the glass would crack. My understanding is that the main panel is efte plastic, but the rear ones are tempered glass? All the reviews go into great detail about the stands, but I was wondering if I could just unscrew them totally and use the grommets to tie it in place. I do get a bit of wind underneath the current panel though, so not sure if that would just break the glass instantly?

EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra X

I recently purchased an EcoFlow Delta 3 Max Plus that we're currently using on our boat. No complaints. Now, of course I am inundated with Ecoflow ads. I have a general question about the whole house solution.

Some of their options on their website include two inverters along with extra batteries, etc. Why would you want an extra inverter vs scaling up with more batteries?

Eco credits worthless

Got an email saying my eco credits are about to expire, but have never had the opportunity to actually use them on a product since things are always sold out. What a worthless incentive and Does Ecoflow help people out in this instance?

Ecoflow extra battery additional output hack.

This community seems not to do a lot of tweaking, so here I come.

I already have an Ecoflow Delta 2 power station with an open 52V port (the famous 1kohm resistor hack). That allows me to connect a 48V-to-12V converter and run things like two refrigerators and a diesel heater at the same time. Around 15-18A instead of the official 10A which would otherwise shut down the power station.

But I got a great ebay deal on a new Extra Battery so I bought one to double my capacity. Unfortunately the 1kohm hack doesn't work with the Extra Battery and the BMS circuit board doesn't have any permanently awake sections. You can either bypass the BMS (bad idea) or try to figure something out.

In my case after long hours with the multimeter, I've decided to give up and simply buy another BMS and connect it alongside the original one. Both BMSs are invisible to each other, which is great, and the additional BMS lets me use the battery separately from it being woken up by the Delta 2. From the engineering standpoint, that's perfectly fine. I simply also want to run many 12V items off the Extra Battery with the help of the 48-->12V converter.

What you can see in the photos are the following things...

  1. The original BMS has 8 pads from each cell on the top side and 8 pads on the bottom side. Fortunately they are labeled. One side has odd numbers B1, B3, B5 etc. the other side has even numbers B0, B2, B4, B6 etc. This makes connecting the balance wires absolutely easy.
  2. I used a Lifepo4 Daly BMS with a limit of 60A. Drawing 30A at 12V is only around 8A at 48V so I have plenty of headroom which I don't need anyway. The BMS was around $25
  3. HUGE THANKS AND BLESSINGS TO THE ECOFLOW TEAM IF THEY READ THIS. Many modern companies are very mean because they install traps that make any tweaks impossible. Some BMSs lock up permanently once disconnected, some lock up when an unknown power source is connected, some use complicated communication protocols to make any tweaks impossible etc. Ecoflow is a great company because the products are made with the highest quality but at the same time are user friendly. If you disconnect the BMS from the battery it will work. If you solder things, it will work too. If you do the famous resistor hack, everything will be fine. Big, big thanks to Ecoflow for not being assholes. I really appreciate it.
  4. There is plenty of space inside for the additional BMS, the converter and some fuses, switches etc. which is great.
  5. I 3D printed a back plate with holes for ports and a switch in order not to damage the original one and I have a 12V/30A outlet, an inlet (58.4V max) which also outputs 52V, a switch that turns the converter on. I like the clean looks.

Now, my Delta 2 accepts solar panel charge through the XT60 port and charges both batteries. The Extra Battery accepts charge (58v) from my DC-DC charger and also has the converter (XT60 in the upper left corner) as an output for my 12V appliances. Both batteries share the charging, discharging power because they are connected with the original, non-modified cable. Super cool.

Update on trail 300

This is a message we received after messaging back and forth since I posted about this not working.
I appreciate the help I received from here.

A unit that didn’t work from moment we received it and they say it “may” fall under warranty.

The wording in this is ridiculous. We get a defective device and they may decide it’s covered by warranty?

This is first & last will we purchase from them.

Same model 160w bifacial solar panels but different listed net weight.

Went to Costco Japan to buy the 160w bi-facial solar panel.

I noticed 2 slightly different box designs mixed in the stacks. Didn't think anything of it at first. Both box designs had the same SKU, model number, and part number.

But it seems the solar panels with the newer box design (the one with the 5 year warranty shield logo on it) which happens to have the newer manufacturing dates, are strangely a lighter net weight.

Did the change something in the manufacturing? Why the change in weight?

Of course I bought the newer panel, but curious why they'd change something within the same model number.

Delta pro 3 RMA experience

I have bought several ecoflow products in the last few years, namely smaller less expensive units and they all function... until i got myself into this Delta Pro 3 nightmare. I bought this thing 6 months ago and it already error coded 71. I literally used this thing 1-2 times in the last 6 months. Despite following all the steps on the app any anything I could find online, i couldn't get it to clear. Of course, I bought off Amazon and figured the return process via the warranty would be easy, but thats barely the case.

I submitted a request for RMA on the 29th. I got 3-4 useless emails from different reps saying they forwarded the request to another team etc.

Finally, I got fed up with it and called in today prompting them to send me the return label. I put the unit back in its original box and literally hauled the 130lb box to the Fedex depot (not a store) where they accepted it. Now I check the tracking and they're sending it back to me (early next week). I presume they forgot to send me some other type of label I was supposed to affix to the box?!

How incompetent is Ecoflow support?? Not to mention they won't even send me a replacement unit until they receive it and examine it. If i buy another unit from now on it will be via Costco, I expected better from Ecoflow.

Has anyone dealt with this? How do I get fedex to accept this thing, it seems like dropping it off at the depot wont work.

my experience

My disappointment with this warranty claim process began after I spent more than 30 minutes with customer support explaining the issue in detail and providing all the relevant facts regarding my Delta 3 Classic. Despite taking the time to thoroughly describe the malfunction and answer all questions, I received an email a few days later requesting additional documentation and photographs of the unit. This was frustrating, as I was under the impression that the information I had already provided had been properly documented and reviewed.

Since then, my experience has led me to believe that the warranty process is being used more as a way to avoid responsibility than to support customers when a product fails. Instead of receiving meaningful assistance, I have been met with repeated requests for information and a series of generic, hollow, and passive-aggressive apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, these responses have done little to address the actual problem or provide a reasonable path toward a warranty resolution. I expected your company to stand behind its product and provide effective support when issues arose.

What is the purpose of Disable Grid Bypass Output when it has Pure Sine Wave AC Output?

I am new to the Power Station world coming from a perfectly functional 7+ years old CyberPower BRG1500VALCD upgraded with 2 x 12.8V 10Ah (256Wh) LiFePO4 batteries. It has the listed features below:

- Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
- GreenPower UPS Bypass
- Line Interactive Topology
- Simulated Sine Wave
- Transfer (Switchover)Time: 4ms (vs <10ms)
- 1,500 Joules surge protection (vs 150 joules)

I have both River2 Pro and Delta 3. In the Delta 3 APP there is a feature named "Disable Grid Bypass" to prevent damage to the appliance and to provide high-quality AC power output directly from the battery until the power is depleted to the set level.

My question is: If the AC output on the Delta 3 is pure sine wave, why would it damage the appliance that is plugged into to the AC socket even in Bypass mode? Is pure shine wave only works in Bypass mode?

I am looking at the on-line manual and the "Output" section stating "AC Output Socket (Discharge Only) Pure Sine Wave, Total 1800W, surge 3600W". Does it mean the Pure Sine Wave only works only during discharging from the battery?

I almost feel like I need to plug the ECOFlow to my CyberPower UPS's "SURGE+BATTERY" port to get better protection to the Delta 3 and the appliances that is plugged into the Delta 3?

Wave 3 - Heap of Crap

Going to keep this to the point....

Placed an order for the Wave 3 + Battery

1.5 weeks later it shipped

Wave 3 arrived without the battery which "should" be coming about three weeks after.

Let it sit for around 8hrs as I was working.

After turning it on within 4-5 mins it had an error code 35(over pressure).

Done as per the instructions, leave it unplugged for 30mins or what ever(actually left it over night)

Tried again the next morning and the same error code.

Unable to try a FW update as the app says it isn't connected to the internet even when I can see it from my router. With 5GHz turned off....

It did try once but it failed to recognise the serial number.. (it was purchased from EchoFlow website....

I raised a support ticket which I assume got lost in the etha as I haven't even had an acknowledgement that it has been received let alone being looked at.

Called customer support and the tech team will get back to me in 5-7 days! After paying over £1100 for a product that doesn't work.

This is just a very expensive fan..

As an electronics engineer, it has all the hallmarks of being rushed to market. This product isn't ready for production.

I will stear clear of EchoFlow forevermore

Is the MPPT really this poor in the Delta 3 Ultra?

I just plugged in 2 Ecoflow 220 Watt panels in series for the first time. The stats you see are from 1130am, no shade. Why is the Ultra only pulling 260 watts while the panels are putting out 340 watts? I just checked and it has the "up to date" Firmware -- V7.80.99.21

Anyone camping with a DP3?

A few friends and I are driving down to Shenandoah National Park later this month for our first camping trip together, and I'm realizing I have no idea how much power we actually need.

The plan is pretty simple: a portable fridge, charging our phones and cameras, maybe a fan and portable AC at night for the heat wave, and coffee in the morning. I don't think we need a huge power station, but I also don't want to spend the whole weekend trying to ration power.

That's how I ended up looking at the Delta pro 3. One thing I like is that it has plenty of different outlets, so I wouldn't have to keep unplugging one thing just to charge another. It seems like a good fit for camping, but I'm also thinking about whether it would come in handy for home power backup.

For those of you who own one, how is your experience with it?

Delta 3 max expanding battery?

Just purchase a delta 3 max hasn’t arrived yet but was doing more reading is there no way to hook up an extra battery to it?

I asked ecoflow before buying to make sure and they said yes you can with a xt150 cable but I don’t see one on the unit anywhere (on pictures)

Delta pro ultra x for summer outages?

I'm in southeastern Pennsylvania, and this recent heat wave has me thinking a lot more about backup power than I ever used to.

We had a short outage the other day. The house got unbearably hot, and everyone was uncomfortable. My wife works from home, and we've got the usual stuff to keep running—fridge, garage fridge, internet, and ideally at least some AC if the power goes out in the middle of summer.

I originally started looking at some of the smaller backup systems, but after thinking about everything I want to keep running, I'm not sure they'd be enough. That's how I ended up looking at delta pro ultra x. I also like that I could add more battery later instead of trying to figure out my long-term needs right now.

A few things I'm still trying to figure out:

Can it realistically keep central AC running, or does that depend a lot on the house?

Was the installation straightforward, or did it end up being more involved than you expected?

I'm pretty new to home backup systems. What are the biggest things I should be thinking about before buying one?

This isn't a cheap setup, so I'm just trying to make a smart decision before spending that kind of money. I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have actually been living with one.
